Fathers Day

When I think about my father and me, I remember this red suit case that he had. It had a long history of being in my family. It was my Mother’s originally before she died. After she died, my father did not let it leave his side. My father traveled to Oklahoma City, many times on business trips, with that red suit case. He never said it but I think he felt close to my mother with that red suit case. When I lost my father at 72 years old, the red suit case came back into my procession. The suit case set in my closet for six months. One day while I grieving for my father, something came to me and said look inside and let go. I was surprised to see what was inside. A couple of pieces of paper, medicine, and an airplane ticket stub. I clean it out and let it go. See you later red suit case love you.
